Baby Wet Wipes Review

We have been using different brands baby wet wipes for our twins right from their birth till date (6+ m.o). This post is a review of various baby wet wipes used.

Since I have used 3 brand's wet wipes, so i'll be reviewing the following brands:

Luvlap

Mee Mee

Himalaya

1. Luvlap Wipes:

Reasons to Buy:

- Extremely soft and good thinkness
- Not too wetty like Himalaya baby wet wipes
- Easy to remove one wipe at a time unlike Himalaya or Mee Mee
- Cleans and moisturizes baby skin
- Nice fragrance
- Easy to use and carry
- The re-sealable sticker is very effective. it seals the pack till you use the last wipe.
- it is paraben and alcohol free
- it does not cause skin rash
- Enriched with Aloe Vera, Vitamin E and Chamomile
- Ph balanced
- High Quality product

Reasons not to Buy:

- No more introductory offer available on Amazon.

Because luvlap had recently launched this product, so they came up with an introductory offer of pack of 3 for 200 rupees. Each pack contained 80 wipes. So we got each pack for a price of Rs. 67 from Amazon.

Price: The current price for pack of 3 on Amazon is Rs. 278.

So if you buy 3, single pack would on an average cost Rs. 93 for 80 wipes. Much better priced over Himalaya wipes. But slightly overpriced than Mee Mee baby wipes.

Luvlap is an established brands in Strollers. They produce some high quality Strollers. And now it's good to see them expanding in other baby products.

Luvlap baby wipes is lot better than Himalaya's wipes as they do not leave off excess water when squeezed and are not highly fragrant. They carry a mild fragrance to keep check on foul odor.

Recommendation: It's VALUE FOR MONEY product.

2. Himalaya:

Reasons to Buy:

- Cleans and moisturizes baby skin
- Contains Aloe Vera
- Contains lotus extracts
- Soft wipes
- Easy to use and carry
- does not cause skin rash

Reasons not to Buy:

- Too wetty. Water literally runs down when the last few remaining wipe(s) is squeezed.
- Too much of fragrance.
- Very thin. You may feel the poop on other side of the wipe once you rub it off from baby's skin.
- The sticker do not stick back to the pack after frequent use as it loses its gum. As a result, the pack remains opened and wipes are at risk of contamination.
- Because it's too wetty, it sometimes gets real hard to remove just one wipe from the pack. User end up removing 2-3 wipes at a time.
- Too soapy
- Expensive when compared to Mee Mee or Luvlap wipes.

Recommendation: Avoid buying this product.

Price: Pack of 2 cost Rs. 219. Each pack contains 72 wipes.

3. Mee Mee Wipes:

Reasons to Buy:

- Soft on baby skin
- No Skin rash
- easy to use and carry
- have good thickness
- Cleans the skin thoroughly
- Mild fragrance
- Contains Aloe Vera extracts
- Alcohol free
- 100% bacteria free
- High Quality product

Reasons not to Buy:

- The sticker do not stick back to the pack after frequent use as it loses its gum. As a result, the pack remains opened and wipes are at risk of contamination.
 - it's not easy to remove 1 wipe at a time. Sometimes more than 1 wipe comes out of the pack.

Recommendation: It's a VALUE FOR MONEY product. Parents can either choose between Mee Mee or Luvlap wipes as both are good quality products.

Types:

Mee Mee wipes comes in 2 flavors:
- Aloe Vera
- Lemon fragrance

Price: Pack of 3 costs Rs. 261 for Aloe Vera flavor and Rs. 252 for lemon fragrance. It's slightly cheaper than Luvlap wipes.

*******************************************
Remember:

- Please use wipes only for baby's bum cleaning. Do not use it to clean face or any other body part as it contains heavy fragrances.

- Make sure baby's bum is clean and dry before you put on the diaper as moisture from wipes may result in baby rash.
